There are five other men and one child crowding around him to listen to his preachings. A crowd of people stand on a hillside in the background of the painting. The surrounding ornate frame is basically rectangular with a semi-circle protruding from each of the four sides. An intricately carved floral pattern runs around the perimeter of the frame and is topped with a scallop. The picture hangs on a wallpapered wall.
